Harry Kalligiannis is the owner and founder of Accolade. He studied Bachelor of Commence at the University of Cape Town and, after completing his honours degree, went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant. He initially worked in auditing and moved on to a position in financial management at a company called Corobrik. Harry then spent 4 years as a Director at Merchant Trade Finance and gained valuable experience in advising small and medium business owners with the development of their enterprises.

In 1989 he was appointed as an advisor at Liberty Life. After completing the training courses he opened his own financial planning services company in 1991 which became the foundation of Accolade. He has over 30 years of experience in Financial Planning and has been responsible for the wellbeing of many individuals and families as well as business entities. Decades of experience ensure he has a unique insight into complex financial matters and problems which allow for a simple interpretation and solutions incorporating financial security, minimization of risk and maximization of the advantages.

His caring approach, combined with intelligence and a special talent for problem solving has ensured that widows and orphans who otherwise would have been destitute have a bright financial future and clients’ misfortunes have been minimized by careful planning. He has an amazing ability to maximize investment opportunities, ensuring retiring clients’ money outperforms the dual effects of tax and inflation.

Over the years he has achieved many insurance industry awards and is passionate about ensuring that his clients’ interests always come first. His “pet hate” is poor advice that prejudice clients and has, at times, been disappointed by questionable and unethical practices which can give the financial services industry a bad name.

In addition, he is the principle of Accolade, holding the position of Key Individual and Compliance Officer. The responsibility of ensuring that the advice given by all financial planners is diligently supervised.

In his spare time he attends spinning and yoga classes and enjoys cycling. His interests include the advancement of small and medium business, a passion instilled by growing up in a family environment of business owners.
