Sarel has been involved in the financial services industry for more than 35 years. His road took him from Nedbank in 1982 to Old Mutual Advisory, First National Bank, S A Homeloans, Old Mutual Bank and eventually back to Nedbank again.

For the most part of his 30 years at Nedbank he was in Sales and in the Management side of the business, before moving to the Financial Planning side in 2015.

Sarel joined the Accolade team during 2019 which afforded him the opportunity to offer the full spectrum of advice to his clients, through an independent company. It is also his focus to offer financial planning holistically versus focusing on one area alone.

Sarel is a qualified CFP (Certified Financial Planner) and as a member of the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa, abides to its rules and high ethical standards.

He is married and has 3 grown kids and lives on the West Rand. His interests include Rugby, Karate, Athletics and is a keen book collector.
